Encouraging students to push the boundaries and possibilities of architecture
Do Good Work annually funds the Architecture Student Research Grant at Taubman College of Architecture & Urban Planning at the University of Michigan in order to support student ideas and encourage research-based design.
The ASRG is awarded to students who propose projects investigating new forms and methods of working, making, and representing.
Since funding the research grant since 2019, student projects have ranged from auxetic patterning of structural steel to the creation of sustainable mycelium bio-composites.
The research is annually presented as both an exhibition and a public lecture, allowing the students, their peers, and the community to come together to celebrate the creativity and innovation of design.
